Light aches through a black maw
Holler in anguish
Thrusting a knife forged from pitch
Heartfelt lunge, stab and curse
A bruising bite results in rent skin
Lunge, stab and curse
Trek through a black maw
Explore a vacant aisle
Vigour and cognition subjugated
Paralyzing limbs
Everything is turning into a labyrinthine mess
Reverting to a slow mull
Comfortless rogation
False perception of finding ease in your evaporating warmth
The colourless walls of flesh or arbitrary coils of veins serve no guard
Expedition, circulation
Revolving in circles
Everything is now a fucking mess
Desolate disposable husk
Trespassing a vestal body
Clenching the pure soul by its throat
Thrusting a knife forged from pitch
Trek through a black maw
Light aches
"I could barely stand up
I'd like to say that I pulled myself together, but I didn't, I couldn't
I took my bag, took whatever supplies I found lying around him, and dragged myself onwards,
It was only later on that I realized how I cherished this moment, since it was the most insignificant of the horrors I encountered on the coming suns,
And to think that of all the days I spent there
This took place during the second
All I could hear was my own pulse
And the thrum of Darwin Falls in the distance"

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
